Christmas In the Park and Downtown Ice

It has been about 16 years since I last ice skated. This was so much fun! Wow and I remembered how to skate too. The outdoor rink has a outer round about circle and the inner big circle was good for working on spins and turns. There was plently of staff to sweep people off the ice when they fall. Some of them were so nice to help those who were skating for the first time on skating 101 to prevent falling and also get some mileage on ice. Someone brought their dog in a Gucci dog travel bag with holiday red bow. Very cute in my opinion but most likely quite boring for the dog. It was a cold and windy day today. The only way to stay warm was to keep skating. I really liked skating underneath the sun in open air. And it was beautiful in this part of downtown San Jose this time of the year. I didn't fall once today!

There are rides set up too but they were $3 per ride. 25 cent per 15 minute street meter parking worked out, much cheaper then the parking lots at $1.25 per 15 minute. The ice rink didn't validate.

We had a picnic at Christmas in the park surrounded by festive decorations. Christmas in the Park was beautiful. It is amazing at night with all the lights on and fresh hot crispy fluffy churro. What a beautiful day it was too, there was even blue sky and sun. The wonderful day ended with watching Night at the Museum 2 with Rocky and then a Hot Pot dinner.
