Lena's 4 year old Birthday Pool Party

Swimming with kids is like playing with a new born puppy, totally fun. It was Lena's 4 year old birthday. It's quite a big deal for a 3 year old to make it to the 4 year old mark, she made sure I knew she was 4, a big girl.

Took me a long time to figure what to make for her pool party cake. I wanted to locate gummy mermaids but I came across sharks instead. Then I wanted sea treasures, and I came across jelly beans. I personally don't care for jelly beans but everyone else loves them. They come in a ton of flavor and designs and color. So the sea treasure were jelly beans. I quickly learned in a 4 year old birthday party that they really don't care for the cake, just candy and frosting. In the future I can just do a candy and frosting thing instead.

Darius at Teance

One of the favorite things I love to do is go to Teance and hang out with my friends. Darius is a manager at Teance and has a smooth act at the tea bar. He's so beautiful to watch. He served me a oolong and it is done properly with a snif cup.
It some how turns out this way all the time, when I walk in it would be quiet and so the other worker would go on a break then the crowd rushes in and the place is swamped. So he was busy running around, didn't get to chat much but it's good business and that is a good thing in this economy. So I just sat and drank tea and watched him work.

Natural Bridges

Natural Bridges, one of my favorite places to hangout in Santa Cruz, it's on the list to close in Labor Day in weekend. Could most likely find a way to hop in regardless, so I won't worry.
It's 80 degrees technically but the cold wind blowing from the cold ocean is very cold. See all the people here at the beach with their winder Gortex. I first placed my spot in the break of wet sand and dry sand, it was very cold too. I had to back up to avoid such scene of having to put on a jacket that I didn't bring. It worked, getting out of the where the wind breaks, it turned out to be a hot day for me on very nice hot sand. Took a wonder nap under my parasol.

This beach has strong, fast, complex and difficult current. I avoid entering it other than dipping my feet.

One of the fun things I like about this place other than the annual butterflies in the spring on the hiking trail are the tide pools. I love checking out the star fish, sea urchins, crabs, etc.. never know what you'll come across to see.

Lunch was a fiesta dip with olives, beans, tomato, chorizo and limy scoop chips.

Girly Things

Ellie is so fun to photograph and to hang out with. Her mother used to bribe me to braid my hair when I was her age. Now I do her hair every chance I get, it's fun, a girly thing.

Father's Day

Father's day lunch was dimsum at Dynasty.

Then it was Yogurtland, we each got a tub. It was very hot today but we all got so cold from eating all the frozen yogurt that we had to stand in the sun to warm up, very funny and fun.

Summer Kick Off

David came over to hang out. He's cutting noodle strips for dinner to go with Korean Black Bean sauce.

We ended up chatting and chatted for hours. Time just flew by. It's been like 3 years since we hung out like this. So we made good use of this time to catch up on past 3 years. We were both hungry at 4am. So we took a drive to Safeway and bought things for breakfast, seasoned fries Italian Sausage Pancake, Yum.

Lunch was nachos with beans, and chorizo.


We ate the entire sheet pan of nachos for a party of 8.



Then we played Tumble. Not too bad, just 29 hours.

Round 2

The action wasn't much in the fields. The opposing team took little very serious, what happened to the fun? The action was all in the stands today as each parent cheered their child on regardless if they were loosing 11-0. The love, care, and positive spirit was outstanding. Afterwards the kids got cupcakes and pinata to dive for the candies. Nothing like sugar, candy to brighten any child's mood. Dinner menu was CANDY.

Round 1

Kevin's first season in little league. They are all so cute. Helen painted my nails green to go with Kevin's uniform. They won 11-1. Parents were saying in the stand how we can't wash, and gotta wear the same clothes on Wednesday's game. It's fun to sit in the stands and cheer for the kids.

Dustin's 6th Grade Graduation

I got a bouquet of balloon for Dustin but some of them flew away because the clerk that tied the balloon for me didn't do a good job. I had fun photographing Dustin. Graduations are so much fun. Dustin gave the Graduation speech for the entire class as the ASB president. What was also fun to see was the parent's joy in their child graduating from elementary school.
