Peace With a Poodle

I went to visit Rocky.  I find peace in the silence in just sitting with him.

The Latin hybrid roses are in bloom and they are amazingly beautiful and fragrant.  I clipped some for my room.

During lunch today at the Indian lunch buffet, a lump of being 3-5 inches ejected from my heart and I felt great.

Rocky Rocky!

Holiday break with family. Checkout Rocky, who is very excited about who is arriving and just has to shove his nose in between and try to get a glimpse on who is it that has arrived.

Rocky's Play Dates

I took Rocky to play with his doggy friends, Katy and Bobby. I threw the ball and they would all run and chase after it. It was more like Katy who liked to play catch while Rocky chased Katy and Bobby chased Rocky. It was fun to have fun with the dogs. When dogs smile, they smile beautifully. Katy can really run and manuever. Rocky and leap, hop gracefully, like a true poodle. It was a three hour play date. I had Tie Guan Yin Tea at their house. Good stuff from FuJian!

Peanut Butter Doggy Biscuit

Successfully made peanut butter doggy biscuit for Rocky today. It was yummy and crunchy and flakey. I only used fresh ground peanut butter, flour and a few splashes of water baked at 375 for 7 minutes then at 200 degrees for another 15 minutes. Very simple to make much fresher than any packaged doggy peanut butter oatmeal biscuits at the dog shop on 4th Street, cheaper too, plus no additional oil not even sugar, sooo much healthier.

Schnauzer Patrol

This is Bobby and Katy's gate. They are incredibly friendly, snugglers with ferocious bark and teeth.

Rocky at 8 months old

Been puppy sitting Rocky again. He is such a cutie, total cuddler, snuggler. He slept with me at night, tucking his head on my shoulder. He knows when the down poor is and whines and runs for cover 30 seconds before the down pour. A natural protective instinct running at work even though we were indoors. I bought him a toy to play with. I love Rocky. He sure lets you know his complaint when you've been gone too gone or at night. He doesn't like the feeling of being alone, period and at night. I like taking him out on walks. He tries to sleep on my lap as I sit on a chair to read papers or on the computer but he's too big to fit all snug, he has to hang on now to keep from rolling off.

Puppy Sitting

This is Rocky at 3 months old. He is a toy poodle. I have been puppy sitting him at his house for a month. Today was the last day, tomorrow his family returns from vacation. My days have looked like this every day for the past month.

5am Rocky wakes up to go pee and poop, I hear him and I don't dare to move and he'll go back to sleep.
8am He wakes up again to go pee and poop. I so need to pee and I don't dare to move and he'll go back to sleep.
8:30am He wakes up again to wake me up, slamming his paws on the edge of the couch to get my attention. I so need to pee and I don't dare to move and he plays by himself.
9:30am He slams his paws on the edge of the couch to get me to wake up, I so need to pee and I do the sign, I make eye contact. He jumps and leaps for joy. We go on a walk and then he gets his breakfast.
10am I drink a cup of water and read morning papers, he plays by himself.
11am I eat my brunch and play catch and chase with him.
12:30pm We both take a nap.
2pm We both get a snack.
4pm We both get a walk and a run.
5pm We both get dinner.
7pm He naps and I watch concerts on Palladia.
9:30pm We play catch and chase again.
10:pm I return to watching more concerts on Palladia and he plays by himself or nap on my lap.
12am We both clock out for the night.

Cupertino Farmer's Market

After waffles we went to Cupertino Village Farmer's Market at Vallco Fashion Park. It is Rocky's first farmer's market experience. I made sure he had plenty of peach, plum, bread samples. Grace was with me along with Chihalu.

Kida

Henry's dog Kida is awesome. She is smart and is a guardian dog. In the dog world of brains and evolutions, I'd say she's higher up in the food chain and of the command if she was in a dog pack. She is so beautiful.
She's big for me. I would not be walking her, she walks me. Glad the few times I've walked her she didn't run. She would be literally be dragging me if I was to trip or fall. I would not have any control.
