North Face 50% Sale

David called me about the North Face 50% off sale at 4:30pm. I screamed at him for not telling me earlier about this one day thing. But he just woke up, and if he hadn't told me I wouldn't have known. So I drove to North Face and made it there before the place closed and it looked like it had been raided. The place was a mess and lots of stuff were all gone. All the workers looked beat. The good news is I saved about $200. today with the discount. The bad news is, I shopped at North Face and walked out with purchases again. Well, they just have nice things, great design, good stuff.

North Face End of the Year Sale

I stopped by North Face today. I parked by the skate park. It was a very nicely designed one. I think I'd like to stop by next time and just watch. There was a 5 year old on his board, real smooth. He was the smallest and the youngest with same board like big boys. Another kid brought a tub of caramel popcorn and munched off that when I arrived and was still munching off the same tub when I left. He looked like he was in candy heaven, totally happy.

As for North Face,..... I'm begining to think I've got a North Face addiction. They just have nice products. I saw two back packs I didn't need but really liked and was totally beautifully, functionally, brilliantly designed in my opinion. It was a good thing it was over $110. So I didn't walk out with them. The other one had a dragon on it. That was cool, a red dragon.

As much as I get lazy about heading over to Berkeley, there is always North Face and Berkeley Bowl, Acme Bakery to pull me north. Of course while I'm there I might as well also stop by Teance to see friends. And of course while I'm at Teance I should stop by 4th street shops etc.... It usually ends up being a whole day adventure. There is a new Thai Vegetarian place on Shattack that was coming soon, I wonder if it is opened by now?

Black Friday

I went shopping and spent a lot of money on art supplies that were on 75% off on archival art paper. Then on lots of art supplies that doesn't go at 65% off. The good stuff seems to be the imported ones so they cost soooooo much more. I'm happy, spending lots of money on credit, stimulating the economy. Now I have to go to work to pay for all of this.

North Face Sample Sale

I did a dangerous thing. I stopped at the North Face outlet and checked out their sample sale. What a sample sale is all the articles used for store or media samples were gathered in this outlet for a mass sale. Everything was size medium. Things were in big bins and the place was covered in a,...... well, mess of piles of clothes. Had to dig through every box that was in no particular order or if it did once, it no longer is. I started to gather things and hung them on my body. I really had too much stuff on me and I kept dropping them each step I took. I would turn around and look to pick it up but someone else would pick it up before I would and it was gone. I took this as a gift of helping me eliminate things I really didn't need but felt like buying. I hear such impulses are common in others too.

Vallco Farmer's Market

I had a bit of time today and stopped by the Friday Farmer's Market in Vallco. It moved from behind the ice skating ring to Sears parking lot. I really like the fall selection. I finally found it to be better than the Berkeley Center Street Saturday Farmer's Market. There were three stalls of vendors that I liked. One was the best in my opinion, it's called "Her Farm". Everything in that stall is $1 a bundle. I got giant bundles of kale, chollard, chard all for a dollar each. I guess everything is in season because they sure tastes very sweet and tender right now.

I also went to House of Falafel and for a Falafel wrap. Felip was there today and made mine without onions. He is a very nice person and it is nice to go to places where people are nice and know you.

Cupertino Farmer's Market

After waffles we went to Cupertino Village Farmer's Market at Vallco Fashion Park. It is Rocky's first farmer's market experience. I made sure he had plenty of peach, plum, bread samples. Grace was with me along with Chihalu.
