Father Cyprian Visits

Father Cyprian and Father Thomas came along with John and his family.  It was a party of 12.  I was super glad to be around to help out.  Music was amazing and the puppets were outstanding.  I felt honored to be in their presence and have really missed them in these past few years.  I cherish such moments.

Martin Luther King Jr Remebered at Yerba Buena Park

Marched from the bridge to Yerba Buena Gardens where Rev. Heng Sure set us up with seating where Charles Gibbs were along with interfaith friends. Nancy Palosi was there and Aimes Brown delivered quite a speech. Rev. Heng Sure led the crowd in singing “We Shall Over Come” between each speaker. Somehow he was never introduced. We then follow him to Novellus theatre for his performance. We waited in the backstage dressing room. It was after his performance that I learned he had not been feeling well and had not been taking in any food or liquid. At 2pm he had his first sip of liquid, a sip of hot tea.

Aliza Hava

Tonight was my first time watching Aliza perform. She's pretty good. I like all the ones she sang in her native tongue. She is working on cooperation and peace through music in the Middle East. It was great to see some old friends tonight, Sarah, Sally, Katie, and Garth. After the performance we hung out at Thai Noodle with Sarah, Rafael, and Felix. Aliza was thinking of heading over to Freight and Salvage for Open Mic after Thai food. I left early giving Sarah a ride to bart in the rain. I offered to drive her home but she insisted on taking the bart. I later found her bart ticket in my car.

Gwhyneth Chen Salon Concert

Here is a clip of Gwhyneth Chen playing one of my favorite pieces by Chopin.

I had fun setting put for the reception after the salon concert. It was fun working with Sher and Cindy. Developing Virtue Girls School came and served the appetizers to everyone and also helped with decorating and setting up. They were all very sweet and great to work with. Teance served tea. I enjoy hanging out with my friends from Teance. Here is their site, check it out they have top quality tea. http://www.teance.com/

Bishop Swing and Charles Gibbs from United Religions Initiative came to the kitchen and greeted the staff. That was very nice of them. I felt the menu for the appetizers was a good one. I'll have to check in with others if they felt the same.

Huston Smith

Went to an event where Huston Smith spoke along with Henry Rosemont, and Martin Verhoeven. Huston is quite an amazing person and has a great sense of humor.
